Excel Files Queue

How to Merge Excel Files

1. Upload Workbooks

Add XLSX or XLS files to the queue.

2. Choose a Merge Mode

Combine rows or preserve separate worksheets.

3. Merge and Download

Create and download one XLSX workbook.

One Sheet Merge

One Sheet processes every worksheet in queue order and copies its rows into a worksheet named MergedData. The first non-empty worksheet supplies the header; the first row of later worksheets is skipped.

This mode works best when all source sheets use the same column layout. If columns differ, their cell positions are retained and the combined table may require manual cleanup.

Keep Source Sheets

Keep Sheets copies every worksheet into the output workbook. The source filename is added to each sheet name, and duplicate, long, or invalid names are automatically adjusted to Excel’s 31-character naming rules.

Workbook Compatibility

The output is an XLSX file. Cell values, formulas, number formats, row sizes, column widths, and merged cells are copied where supported. Advanced workbook features such as macros, external connections, charts, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and some complex styles may not be preserved.

Common Errors and Quick Fixes

File rejected: use an XLSX or XLS file no larger than 2 MB.

Unexpected One Sheet columns: make sure source worksheets use matching headers and column positions.

Workbook cannot be read: open and re-save it in Excel or another spreadsheet program.

Formatting differs: use Keep Sheets for the best chance of retaining worksheet structure.

Privacy and File Handling

Your workbooks are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to or stored on a server.
