How to Compress Images
Select JPEG, PNG, SVG, GIF, or WEBP files.
Select a quality level and arrange your files.
Download images separately or together in a ZIP.
Best Image Compression Settings
High Quality: suitable for portfolios, product photography, and detail-sensitive images.
Balanced: recommended for websites, blog posts, email, and social sharing.
Small Size: suitable when faster loading and lower storage usage are the priority.
How Different Formats Are Compressed
JPEG and WEBP files are re-encoded with the selected quality. PNG files are re-rendered at the selected scale. SVG code is safely reduced by removing comments and unnecessary spacing. Animated GIF files use a browser-based GIF optimization engine.
The tool keeps the original file whenever the compressed result would be larger, ensuring that compression does not increase the downloaded file size.
Common Errors and Quick Fixes
Unsupported image: upload JPEG, PNG, SVG, GIF, or WEBP files only.
Little or no reduction: select Small Size. The image may already be optimized.
Image looks too soft: select High Quality and compress again.
GIF compression fails: check your connection because the GIF engine is loaded when required.
